The Raices Cultural Arts Center is the premier studio for cultural dance in the Sacramento area. It also serves as the home of some of the most talented and community oriented dance groups in the region. The goal of the Center is to foster the learning of cultural arts by providing a collaborative center for local arts organizations and individual artists.

RAICES has become well known for its energetic works which remain true to the tradition of Mexican dances. Known as the only all adult, premier Folklorico company in our capital city, Raices attracts seasoned performers and directors who have dedicated most of their lives to studying and teaching the rich traditions of Mexico. Raices prides itself in implementing RAZA tecnica (developed by Rafael Zamarripa of Colima, MX) and having the only director in the nation to be certified in the performance training.
RAICES is a Non Profit organization based in Sacramento California with a Mission to Preserve and Present Traditional and Contemporary Mexican Dance. RAICES welcomes anyone into our general Membership. All that is needed is an interest in learning Folklorico and a dedication to attend practices.
Raices also provides classes and performing opportunities for children above the age of 5 years old.
