Instructor Biography:

Hola! My name is Ana Maria and I love Zumba®!  I am a Certified Zumba® Fitness Instructor and a Certified Zumbatomic® (Zumba for Kids) Instructor. I’m Puerto Rican, so the basic steps of Zumba® which includes Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia and Reggaeton are a part of my culture and my upbringing. I remember my father and mother teaching me how to dance to our music at a very young age. It’s in my heart and my blood, lol. Zumba® has taught me how to incorporate what is familiar to me with fitness. I taught fitness, including step aerobics, floor aerobics, and weight training at my local community center for 5 years and took a break in 2008. Now, I am blessed with the opportunity to return to teaching fitness with Zumba® that incorporates the music and culture that is close to my heart.   It is amazing! I look forward to teaching you the basic steps to Zumba®. It is fun, easy to learn, makes you sweat and keeps you fit. It really is a party! You really can have fun while exercising. I have been teaching Zumba® classes here at the Sacramento Cultural Arts Center since April of 2010 and I love teaching Zumba® at the this center as it incorporate our Latin cultures with the art of dance and music. In my professional life I have a Bachelor’s in Business Management and I have an Executive Master’s in Public Administration with career in Public Service. I want to make your Zumba experience the best of all. Let’s Zumba!! Much love, peace and Zumba!

Testimonial:

I can’t believe that an instructor can change someone’s life.  Ana Negron and her Zumba class has made miracles for me. I was in bad shape,  had depression and Anxiety. Zumba came to my life about 2 years ago. My weight was 215 pounds and I was wearing size 18 in women’s. I couldn’t wear anything that fit me and made me look good. Zumba is a wonderful workout that is fun and an excellent stress relive. As a Latin person, I fell in love with the music and the FANTASTIC Zumba family. Since then I have lost 60 pounds and now I am size 10.  My life has changed TREMENDOUSLY. Now I have a lot of energy and my body is becoming more toned. If you love yourself, I recommend Zumba to anyone who wants to have fun, loose weight slowly, and maintain your weight.
